Yellow Blaze Iceberg

Remarks: The Yellow Blaze Iceberg are a cross between our German Yellow Blaze and Iceberg Fryeri strains. These are a man-made strain so there may be slight color differences in some of the males. The males have electric blue bodies topped with an even brighter layering of both a white and yellow "blaze" on their backs. The metallic white makes the yellow and blue pop even more in this striking fish. The females will little to no color, remaining mostly brown or gray. In nature the Sciaenochromis fryeri are found throughout the lake in rocky habitats and feed on small mbuna and other small aquatic animals. While they are piscivores and have no issues defending against more aggressive haps of similar size, typically the Yellow Blaze Iceberg isn't a terribly aggressive hap. This combined with their bright color makes them an excellent choice for a larger, mixed male Lake Malawi community.
