Remarks: The Black Gorillus Umbee is similar to the common Umbee cichlid but differs in color. The Umbee Cichlid (Kronoheros umbriferus) is an aggressive, outgoing predator, so tankmates are highly recommended against. They are a rather large fish when fully grown, so it will benefit from a large tank with wide open space for swimming, at least 150 gallons.
Umbee Cichlids are native to rivers found in Colombia, South America. Decoration that resembles their natural habitat is recommended, so plenty of rocks and driftwood to simulate caves and hiding places.
