Remarks: Jordanella floridae also known as the Florida Flagfish are endemic to Florida. Flagfish are known to be a great hair algae eater and can be kept to help with maintaining algae outbreaks. The Florida Flagfish is a nice addition to planted aquariums. Although they are a smaller fish they can become aggressive and nip at the fins of slower fish.
Males have stunning Blue and red stripes with hints of green behind their gill plates. Females will be more plump and less colorful. The females will also have a dark spot on the dorsal fin.
